“I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly,” Jesus proclaims in John’s Gospel (Jn 10:10). In an earlier passage we learn that this abundant life comes from “remaining in,” “making our home in” the Word of Jesus (John 8:31-32). By way of helping us to deepen our life in the Spirit and the gift of the healing and hopeful Word of Jesus, Martin will open us to reflections on the daily liturgical Scriptures as food for the spiritual journey.
Martin Lott, OP, is a friar of the Southern Dominican Province and the Prior of Dominican community at Holy Rosary Priory in Houston, TX. Ordained in 1970, he has served as a parish priest and as a university and a hospital chaplain as well as a variety of positions in the initial formation of Dominican students. His ministry for over 30 years has been dedicated to the full-time preaching of retreats and parish missions.
